Protection against welding risks

This standard defines the criteria for protection against risks associated with welding such as cutting or manual welding of metal.

There are two types of welding gloves:

  • Type A are gloves offering high resistance to welding hazards but that do not allow dexterity for precise welding work.

  • Type B are gloves offering great dexterity for precise welding work but that have a weaker resistance to welding hazards than Type A gloves.
